facciamo due giri e poi torniamo a casa!

oh man so i think the last two days would rank right up in the top two favorites of my life.... monday we had a lesson with emiliano. this guy is spectacular. truly we are going to be friends forever. he came to church on sunday and i think he stayed at least 30 minutes after talking to us. we were planning to teach him the law of chasity on monday and i had no idea how he would take it. we gave him the pamphlet on sunday in church so he could read it before he came. so we asked him if he read it and he said he did and that he agreed 100% and that he wishes everyone would read it and be brave enough to agree. then he goes off about how the way girls dress is so inappropriate and that it's not right that girls think men are pigs when they are dressing immodestly etc etc. he also asked us what we believe about alcohol and stuff, so we found out he doesn't drink alcohol, coffee or smoke!!!!!!!! that is literally a miracle. i told him that he is practically a member already and that he has clearly been prepared.

then emiliano said he wanted to tell us something but wanted to say it well. he thought for a second then said that he was so grateful for us as missionaries. he said he hasn't felt a desire to be baptized yet, but he said "i hope neither of you feel like you haven't succeeded at doing your job because i am not baptized yet. you have done 110% and if i had to choose a religion today, no doubt it would be this one." he was really being inspired in that moment to say that to me. last week on valentines day, my friend sorella olsen had a baptism in a city where they never have baptisms, and during her FIRST TRANSFER. i'm in my third and still haven't seen any. when emiliano said that i felt so happy. he was speaking to me for Heavenly Father because He is happy with me and what i am doing. every invesotgator is so different, we just have to listen to Holy Ghost and we will know that correct corse of action. and the investigator that got baptized on valentine's day has been investigating the church for YEARS. it just happened to be sorella olsen the greeny who was there at the baptism. i am soooo thankful for that experience. truly probably the highlight of my mission so far. tomorrow, we are going to ask him to get baptized on march 25.

emiliano has been talking about going to ibla at night to see the lights of this tiny city that appearantly is gorgeous at night so monday we told him we could go wednesday which is our pday and he said "ok i will call you tomorrow and we will figure it out" i said "YES! no one ever calls us! we always call them!" hahaha so then yesterday we were out doing house and emiliano called! i answered and i said "PRONTISSIMO!" then he was like "im just calling because no one ever calls you" hahahahahahah!!!!!! then he said we can't go on wednesday because he has to work. va bene.

pretty much emiliano is the highlight of my mission. except there is one more hilarious thing that happened yesterday. we were taking the bus up to THE ZONE where we are supposed to be working and we got on and then this old lady with LITERALLY NO TEETH told me to sit next to her. i was no thank you i'm fine but she insisted. so i sat down and she tells me how beautiful i am blah blah blah and then she says "noi facciamo due giri e poi torniamo a casa" which means " we do two loops and then we go home" SHE AND HER HUSBAND WERE TAKING THE BUS AROUND THE CITY FOR ENTERTAINMENT!!!!HAHAHAHAH!!!! it was sooooo funny!!! she was saying that ragusa is getting big!!! haha anyway that was hilarious.

ok the questions that people asked me:
mom: the youth in the ward. there are lots of young men, but only two young women! just happened that way i guess... they are awesome. i want miriam to marry stefano dimartino. stefano is AWESOME. he is a ward missionary and he is very effecient.

the talian friend doesn't really have interest, but because of him we have found a great opportunity for service at the shelter where he lives. :)

for the package, can you get me new makeup? im running low and it is soooo epensive here. a couple mascaras and a blush should be fine THANK YOU! and then you can put whatever you want else. reeses and skittles specifically, but slla zeller and i are really doing well at eating healthy. we even shop at the italian equivalent of trader joes, natura si!

vanessa asked if i cut my hair YES i DID!!! and i love it. its like people after they get baptized. they may have been happy before, but they didn't know how much happier they could be!! and now i know! hahaha but it's true.

ok well we are gonna try to take the train somewhere so i gotta go. let me know how much you want for the house on spring pond ct. right now i'm prepared to offer you 12 euro. think about it....
